Fall on the Naknek River, home to our Rapids Camp Lodge, is a trout-spey angler’s dream. In fact, we’d go so far as to say you’d be hard pressed to find a better river to chase trophy-sized resident trout with spey rods anywhere else in the world.
How good could it really be you ask? We’ll show you!
Our good friends Eric Neufeld and Heather Hodson joined us this season to swing flies for our late season rainbows alongside Rapids Camp guide, Kyle Dodson. Kyle recently put together an awesome video from their week, and today we share that video with you.
Give it a watch below!

I fished with Kyle at Tickchick a couple years ago. He was learning with BC and did an outstanding job.

Luv your educational YouTubes! Just bought a trout Switch, and am excited about speying out soft hackles for trout this Summer!

My brother was stationed in King Salmon AFB back in the 70’s and spoke about the awesome fishing of Rapid Camp and the variety and size of the fish. He would work days on and then 3 days off in security fishing the whole time off. Would love to fish it one day myself although I have fished at Katmai Lodge in 2006 that was awesome in its own right.
